INFARMED hosted this Tuesday the nineth meeting under the scope of the Portuguese Presidency of the Council of the European Union. The event gathered over 40 participants of the Working Group of Communications Professionals (WGCP).
During meeting the debate focused on the challenges and lessons learned from the fight against COVID-19.
The participants were able to listen and debate the importance of transparency in communication, new tactics to reach and inform a higher number of citizens.
The participants also addressed other issues such as how to tackle disinformation and how to bet use the communication resources made available by the European Commission to support the implementation of the new Medical Devices Regulation.
The Working Group of Communications Professionals (WGCP) was established in 2007 by the HMA to help develop communications expertise, share good practice, help co-ordinate communications across the HMA network in a crisis, develop HMA’s engagement with its stakeholders and help develop and improve the website for the HMA.
